Toolleen is on the Northern Highway about 150 kms from Melbourne. During the gold rush it was the busy intersection of the North South route between Echuca and Melbourne and the East West route between Rushworth and Bendigo. Now it is the in the centre of the flourishing Heathcote Wine Region renowned as one of the best Shiraz growing regions in Australia. Vineyards are interspersed among the grazing and cropping farms that have shaped the area since the 1840’s.
Toolleen is on the traditional land of the Taungurung people and we acknowledge them as traditional owners.
